D1 windshield washer reservoir removal

I'm having trouble getting the windshield washer reservoir out of my D1. Top hardware came out no problem. Lower hardware is the challenge. The 10mm nuts in the wheel well are spinning with the bolts and thanks to the design of the reservoir I can't access the Philips heads from above to hold them in place. Impact wrench makes no difference. What's the trick to immobilizing the stud of the bolt so I can remove the nuts? Search did not turn anything up on this topic, although I think there might be a thread in the old site tech section on reservoir relocation I'll go look for.

I ground off the nuts with and angle grinder from below. Do it in steps taking breaks so you don’t melt the reservoir. Reinstalled it with plenty of anti seize on the new fasteners.

I guess that's one approach. I'd prefer less drastic measures but I'll keep that in mind if all else fails. The windshield reservoir relocation write-up on the old site tech section was no use.

The trick I've used in such situations is to use a box end wrench on the nut and apply pressure at an angle to force the bolt down and possibly to get a bite, then turn the wrench to loosen the nut. If you can get enough downward pressure to stop the bolt, the nut may break free.

This is how get them off. If it looks like it's never been out I don't even try to turn the bolt/nut.

Every once in a while, I figure something out. Lol. That’s how I undid I mine. A small pilot hole to start and then a larger drill bit. Then I canned the headlamp washers and added a second pair of windshield washers off of that pump.
