Picking up my first 2003 D2 on Thursday from the seller. I’ll be bringing with me, a new Tom Woods front driveshaft (has the indicators that it needs it) to install in his driveway before the drive home.

With the driveshaft still in the mail and the vehicle over an hour away, I have no way to inspect nut/bolt sizes and quantities.

Appreciate if someone can share bolt sizes and quantities so that I can go to the pickup prepared

I bought an aftermarket front driveshaft and used the same hardware from the old stock driveshaft. That was back in 2016 and I’m still daily driving her with no problems.
Touch wood…

This screws and nuts are the only LR parts i found in the Discos, that mantain "imperial" measurements.
If driveshaft is not present I think You will need 8 x 5/16" non loosening nuts, and four 5/16"x 3/4" hexagon screws. The gearbox output screws remain there albeit they are loose. Two 9/16" wrenches will be necessary.

For anyone else that does not want to reuse old hardware. I used

Grade 8 Fine Hex Cap Screws, 3/8-24 x 1-1/4 and

Steel Lock Nut, Zinc Yellow-Chromate Plated Finish, Grade 8, Right Hand Threads, Nylon Insert, 3/8"-24 Threads, 0.662" Width Across Flats

They worked flawlessly
