I am sure people said this about series trucks when they were plentiful. If you love a DII it makes sense long term.
Owning a Land Rover never makes sense long term.
The L322s were attractive and the last model by Rover to be so in my eyes. The new Sports, full size, Evoques and Discovery are sad examples of the marque. The Sport is like a post op tranny - it has no idea what it wants to be - an SUV, a sports car? And not very good at being either.
I feel like reviving the '88 Classic sitting behind the shop down at our VA course. It's in sad shape, but still better looking than any new Range Rover.
Wow it blows my mind that anyone would put that much effort for no return into a vehicle that the newest one is now over 14 years old, can be had all day long down here for sub $2500, and generally has such a niche following that every one knows that they have terrible resale value.
