DAP sliders and diff guards

i'm looking at getting some rock sliders and diff guards to protect my 98 disco. DAP had some inexpensive rock sliders ($240) and also some diff guards ($90). I was wondering if anyone used these and if they work well.

Here is their website - to get to the sliders and diff guards page click on ROVER PARTS and then the DISCOVERY SERIES I and then ACCESSORIES and then OFF-ROAD ACCESSORIES (sorry - you can only link to their homepage)

I have the DAP sliders on my 97 Disco. The sliders are mounted to the frame only, using the two frame brackets, and are not mounted to the sill like many of the other sliders.

So far, so good. The sliders have held up good, but I think some of the other brands (Rovertym, AB, etc.) are better, but you pay more.

I had the DAP front diff guard and it would come off with the slightest hit. Maybe if it was welded on it would be a sturdier unit. I chucked it and went with QT front and rear which offer much better protection.

Disco II DAP sliders

Is anyone running DAP sliders on a Disco II?
If so do they have any pictures?
I would like to see what they look like on.....
Thanks
