On the search for a watch when I go camping, fishing, etc. - something decently water resistant, lightweight, with the ability to light up. Budget wise not looking to break the bank, the upper end of what I'd want to spend is maybe $75. That puts me with a Timex Expedition watch on the low end and a Bertucci Field watch on the upper end.

Timex Men's T499969J Expedition Camper Trail Watch with Brown Leather Band https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LW3RWI2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_riiOxbMTRN3M2

Bertucci Men's 11018 Analog Display Analog Quartz Green Watch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008CHGJAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_3hiOxb4T3731Y

Guess I'm not looking for a true field watch just something I can wear outdoors. 'm sure there's plenty of options in between - chime in with your thoughts

Of the two, the Timex is the better value. Get a cloth NATO style band and call it a day.

I love my Nixon Time Teller but it doesn't light up. Can't go wrong with Timex stuff though.

Times is a great watch.

But Wengers are right there; I think that's what Jimmy mentioned (not necessarily this model).
although this may be my favorite.

I bought a similar watch many years ago at Costco for $50, and that's the only one I take to the boonies.

I have some others (my Lumionox's band broke within a few months of light use, $60 to replace the band), but when outdoors, or camping I tend to use this Casio (Not exactly a field watch, but quite usable in the field :)):

https://www.amazon.com/Casio-AQS800...F8&qid=1470150276&sr=8-3&keywords=casio+solar

It comes in black too

https://www.amazon.com/Casio-AQS800...0_SR90,160_&psc=1&refRID=MW76CBG55T5XXNDRY44N

It is solar, will never need batteries, plus its so cool to watch the needles find the correct time after a few days in the dark when it goes dormant.

Re: Decently Priced Field Watched

Why wear a watch outdoors? Just gets in the way.
I like to not have to pull out my phone for the time if I'm hiking or on the water and risk dropping it.

Appreciate all the input I'll do some more research over the coming days. Sounds like there's plenty of good options out there

I still have a G-Shock I bought around 2002. I wear it occasionally. Not sure what they cost these days, but back then it was about $70. Seems to be a decent watch that does things watches should not really do.

Casio Pathfinder.. kind of out of the "inexpensive" range but it was a gift.

Had a Timex for years, cant go wrong with those.

Get a paracord band, you want that as tactical as F.
