Great to see a Disco Toad! I"m planning on turning my DII into a toad. I've been trying to get the transfer case and transmission settings correct. Transfer case needs to be in Neutral and teh Transmission in Park, or neutral?? Also, are you connecting the tow bar to the bumper D-ring attachment points or to a base plate? Thanks!!

Mr. Toad approves, although based on what I've read I wouldn't let him behind the wheel.

Sorry I'm just seeing this. I'm not sure about the disco 2 but on mine we put the transmission in park and the transfer case in neutral. 7,000 miles later and all good! I made some brackets and mounted to the TJM bumper, this allowed me to use the existing blue ox connection on the tow bar and it pulled very well.

Did you use a brake system, if so which one? Have an ‘03 Discovery that we’re looking to set up for flat towing behind our RV.
Hey, sorry for late response I haven't been on in awhile. We used the ready brake system with a blue ox tow bar :

It worked but was a long set up. I am looking to switch to this which has built in ready brake:

I bought most of my stuff on ebay or second hand. Once adjusted properly the ready brake seemed to do a great job though our RV is heavy so I'm not sure it would notice anything back there haha hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.
I ended up installing the Air Force One brake system. Did it myself after a crash course on YouTube, took my time but everything appears to work as it should in the driveway.
