Quick question: will discovery I axle shafts fit in D-90 axles? Looking for spares and DI junkyard axles should be much easier to find. Just need to make sure they will work.

So, a true 84 should have 10 spline axles then? Will the axle assemblies off a D1 swap underneath a 90 or do the spring seats not match up?

Thanks. I have a 3 link on my D1 and would rather swap the entire front axle and all of its related parts over as an assembly than to disassemble and then reassemble on a different axle. Im not 100% on the D90 yet but if I do grab it, the D1 is losing its 3 Link for sure.

they swap in easily. The early 90's and 110's used narrower radius arms where they attach to the axle so when swapping in a D1 or classic 24 spline axle you need to get the radius arms as well. I always swap the 110 brakes back on.

So theres a chance that the radius arms of the SG 3 link are different from D1 to D90? I really wish that there was a catalog of the SG stuff somewhere.

No-thats not what was said. The earlier trucks used a narrower arm and bushing to attach to the axle tube. All of the trucks went to a wider arm/bushing later. The difference isn't between a disco and a 90, its between an 85 and 95 model years. If you are going to swap stuff out of your disco the only worry you should have is the crossmember since that, the panhard rod, and the springs and shocks are the only attachment points. Not sure having not owned that set up but believe there are different crossmembers. Surprised you are considering a 90 after reading your opinoins on the epo thread.

Im checking on that. It looks like the V8 one could work. Theres a guy running the V8 crossmember on his and he is running a TD5. Exhaust routing became an issue but there are solutions to that. Thanks for all the help.
