P0335: Crankshaft Position Sensor Signal Error Fault

P1884: Engine air intake temperature invalid

I'd start there

What the heck is a "driveway bridge"?
Get a chain, put your truck in Neutral, and flat tow it to the end of your bridge or whatever.

I had a similar problem, all kinds of engine codes, m&s lights, hard to start. It was a bad ground on the engine block. Something to consider.

I thought DiscoMike was the King of Rigs?
Check serp belt routing, it always seems to kill my battery when I turn the alternator the wrong direction.
Although I think the alternator should work spinning either direction, that does not make it true.

Is my ignorance at fault? I put a d1 wix air filter in whilst I believed I owned a d1. Is a d2 filter different and could it have an affect with said issues? I feel commonly simple for not knowing I had a d2. Everything I had pointed to d1, even the original owner (simpleton as well). I am now thinking most of the diy maintenance may have been done under the belief it was a d1. today I have sensors out and am now tracing wires looking for a grounding concern.

Thank you for the guidance thus far.
Cheers

I highly doubt D1 maintenance screwed up your D2. D1 specific parts generally wont fit a D2. They have the same engine but with different ancillaries bolted on.

I'd grab those two sensors from a junk yard and swap them.

Check the serpentine belt part number. If it's D1, just get a D2 belt. They're probably just slightly different lengths.

you may be on to something.
NAPA lists the following serpentine belts for 1999 Discovery:
Series 1: ATM 7PK2235
Series 2 without ACE: ATM 7PK2345
Series 2 with ACE: ATM 7PK2710.

What's important there is the last four digits of each part number - it is the belt length in millimeters.
If your friend or DSPO or whoever else managed to put a shorter D1 belt to your D2, it must be routed incorrectly (the D1 belt is nearly four and a half inches shorter than what's needed for a non-ACE D2, which I believe you have). Either the alternator spins in a different direction (which I also believe should not be a factor, but maybe it is), or the belt constantly slips against the pulley not allowing it to charge the battery completely.

It could very well be a D1. I have a D1 built in 99 and yes it does say build date 99 on the door. And who gives a rats ass if he wants to call his truck a rig. Your opinion on the matter doesn't help solve his problem
