Do you need brake lines with 3in springs and 10in shocks?

Project pimp my LWB has taken its first steps with a 3in rovertym spring set (thanks Trevor for the good deal :) )

The 32in BFGs will be on shortly.

Now, the issues:
1. I need some 10in shocks. I don't want anything nice, just cheap. The nice ones ride like crap in my opinion (bilstiens OME etc) Who has the PNs for something inexpensive. Stud to stud in front, eye to stud in back.

2. This being said, what is the consensus as to whether I need brakelines with 3in lift and 10in shocks?

If the answer is you need brake lines, what is the longest shock I can run? Does anyone make a 9in shock? I don't want to mess with the lines as they look like they would be a bitch to get off.

???????If you're that cheap then run the stocker shocks with extensions.

If you go offroad-yes. You'll over-extend the stock lines.

?????I've seen up to 14" with 3" springs. I run 10" front and 12" rear with RTE 3".

Didn't you work at a dealership??? They are relatively easy to R&R IMHO.

Rovers North i think was selling some cheap Pro Comp shocks if you want. You can get a Fox or Bilstien 8.5" shock if you want to but it would be too short, I think the OME shocks are around that too. The chart on EE's webpage has all the lengths.

If you are not going to remove the front and rear anti-sway bars, you will not need extended brake lines. If they are removed it is a must.

Ron, check Black Diamond's website. You'll find all sorts of shocks, any mounting type, lots of different lengths, etc.

Don't know about "nice ones" vs. cheap - I made a mistake of buying a pair of Monroe Sensatracs for my Wag, and they were out in the trash bin after two days on the road. Bilsteins made it fine.

Which year LWB did you decide on?

I have barely a 2" lift with 32" tires and I put on extended SS lines. But I did this because I wanted to prepare for a future 3" lift.

I can RandR lines easy enough it just these are rusted near the front calipers so I don't want to have to replace the hard lines so I would rather not disturb them if possible.

Alyssa made me do the 94.

I have extensions I could slap on but extensions always rattle and the ones I have you have to hack off the bushing cup.

Ok, to 10inchers it is, leave on the sway bars for now, and do they lines later.

Offroad, pish, I only go to MAR
