The DSP on the "Sherpa" went south, so I am transplanting this 12j into my 110. She might not go any faster....but I will be able to see the leaks are.

If all goes to plan...it will be in and running Friday! I got the hood and engine compartment all painted yesterday. Just have to finish some details and she is good to go.
Then we can plan another fishing trip....
OH....Gander Mtn had a grand reopening sale in Fberg. Picked up a "starter" fly set. I gotta get some practice in.

Ya never know. With all the extra weight of the old oil/dirt/crap gone....it just might!
If it dosent, it will look good trying....

All in and sorted sans the diesel plumbing. I need a couple of fittings for the fuel lines so looks like tomoro she will be ready to fire up.

This last weekend I took the 110 for a shake down run. Bunch of friends went camp on a buddys farm. The trip started badly, with a monster thunder storm just as we where hitting the trail back to the camp. After the rains, we started again. All was great untill we got to the last hill. No one could make it up the hill...sans the 110. Ended up winching 4 trucks (wifes p38 included) up the hill. Other than that small issue....the truck performed flawlessly. I think shes ready to head for the Wilds.

Well....that didnt last long. The diesel blew all to crap Sunday am. Figured a hot spot dropped and the rest of the motor followed. 2/3 pistons are gone.....1 has dents and a hole...4 is...well still there. Figured I will get my investment out in scrap value. Got another 2.5 on the stand getting ready to drop in, but looking at a tdi.

That sucks. My 2000 is in many pieces as we speak, doing heads and timing chain. I figure since this motor hasn't been opened in 10 years I got my moneys worth. It should pull a pop-up like a dream when I'm done. Hope you had a great Bday bonfire!

Pulled the trigger on a 200 tdi today. Should be in and running by Xmas. Until then I guess I'm just stuck with the Cally and the Disco. But I did get all the gear moved over to do some camping later this month.
Good job on your Disco. Hope it all urns out well.
