DRL 2004 D2

Hi, in order to accomplish domestic laws, I made BCU settings with a Nanocom to get main beams as daily running lights.
With this setting, lights are on seconds after engine start, if in neutral, or after taking lever out of parking position. This is enough to drive in the whole country... at last I was so informed.
Traveling thru another state (province here) i got a fine (penalty fee) because Disco did not have rear position and plate lights on. It was during sunlight time and for my friends cops was difficult to determine these lights were off.
My question is: it's possible to get all these lights all together on, as automatic DRL feature? How do you modify lights in order to be in rule? In the other hand I modified my old and trusty D1 12 years ago doing only automatic main beams on. Are now worldwide necessary more lights to be on, at daylight?
Thank you in advance for your info
Regards

The only place I've seen this is Canada, where all cars have the lights on at start up feature. I'd suppose that Canadian Land Rovers are equipt with the 'Magic Box' that makes this happen. Long ago I helped a friend re-wire his Canadian Ford Fairmont back to normal lighting.

We (in Canada) only require daytime headlights, not tail lights. On my P38, they all come on. On my Disco, only the headlights come on, but not as brightly as when you turn the lights on for night. Also, they don't come on when in Park, or with the Park Brake on.

The obvious way would be to wire those lights to ignition power, but I don't know off the top of my head how much juice they pull. There may not be a lead back there that will take it.

Sounds like you want to program the vehicle to do it. That may be possible, but I've never tried or even looked for a setting like that.

Cheers,
