ecm interchangability

I need a new ecm for my d1 it has part # err6738 I found someone who has one with part # err6759 would this work with a reflash ? he also has one for a 98 with the part # starting with mkc he said this one has the security mod. does anybody know if I could use any of those?

What year is your D1? If it is a pre-AEL GEMS (up to mid-96 model year) and you use an AEL ECU, it will eventually (quickly) flip the CEL because there's no pressure sensor in the pre-AEL fuel pump assembly.
CEL aside, it will work just fine.

The 6759 will work if installed and programmed properly. While the mkc may work you may experience a check engine light due to the fact it is for an advanced evap rig.

We program our ECUs here to not look be dependent or look to the Alarm Ecu for clearance. If the 6759 is not programmed to your Alarm ECU you will have issues....

On the other hand. We have seen some folks get lucky and just plug and play.

How are you programming out the alarm? Is it by setting the Id to all zeroes?

I'm asking how much you charge to remove the ecm's dependency on the alarm for mobilization so I can throw out that fucking annoying alarm module.
