Now that the truck is back on the road, figured I'd work on the 4wd selector, lovingly supplied by Matt since I bent mine. It's been so long since I've had the thing apart that I don't remember what it was like when I took it apart when it was actually working.

Now I'm concerned the selector lever moves too freely. Should it be able to just flip up and down using no pressure at all? This is, of course, without the spring attached to the selector lever.

I ain't taking the transmission out again so ya'll best be serving up some good news!

Thanks guys, for a minute there I thought I was going crazy/er. It's sure is nice to have the floors and seat base back in now. Moving it around the parking area sitting on the gas tank was hurting my back end.

How ya doing Tom? It's good to see you back around. :)

You did send a spring. But look at that customer service! I still had my old spring plus one left over from the previous owner. I'm all kinds of good on the spring. :) But if anyone needs a rusty, bent 4wd lever...
