I don't know much of anything about rebuilding motors... But I have a project that needs to be done, I don't have the time, but I'd love to do a new cam (inspired by the cam thread) and whatever else needs to be done while it's out of the truck and opened up (timing chain, rings, seals, heads, etc).
Anyone (with experience, and somewhat local) want to do a longevity rebuild / upgrade for me?
I have two 4.6's, both out of '04 DII's. One ran a year ago when the truck was totaled @ 90k, and one that broke something inside @130k.
Rebuilder can take both motors, and just give me the upgraded / rebuilt one back. I'll buy the parts, pay for the machine shop, etc... I just need someone to do the work.
What's in it for you?
- some cash
- whatever you want from what's left of the wrecked DII (I've already sold some bits)
- the leftover motor / parts from both donor motors
