Ford 6.0??

It seem to be harder to find a duramax in good shape without a ton of miles on it then a 7.3 powerstroke is (which is not so easy) in the configuration I want.

I thought I had found a decent truck, but after I saw the carfax report I decided to keep looking. So the search continues...

It's flexible, depends on what I find. But most of the trucks I've been looking at the sellers are asking around $15K +/- $1-2K.

Get a 7.3, the 6.0 had some bugs in it when it was first introduced.

I've always been told the perfect truck would be a Cummins diesal with an Allison tranny on a Ford body.

But yes, I've had friends have nightmares with their 6.0.

Yeah. I don't know if some of those are dealers or people that bought and sold it quickly, but probably going to keep looking.
