Anything I should take care of while I have all this access before I put the core support back on?

I think I should definitely do the rear accessory belt.

It's all that oil on the drivers side a concern?

Water pump? I just did mine at 130k and replaced the main drive belt while down there.

I replaced my alternator at 120k.

You done the thermostat/thermostat housing yet?

I haven't done the thermostat housing yet and there does seem to be a tiny leak, but the DIYs look like it's not a huge deal to have everything in there?

Alternator would be way easier now, but that's pricey (for a good one) for something that ain't broke

Yeah, AB sells the housing with thermo for a hundred something bucks. Sounds like the housing crack is a common issue. Not too bad. Took me a couple hours.

Water pumps not really a problem on these engines. I've only replaced a couple. But the t-stat housing complete would be a great idea. The oil is hard to call from just a pick. But it's all over the place on that side of the thing. I would clean the thing up really good and look for it later. I'm thinking p/s pump leaking into the belt?

BTW, we went down to the Pzazz in Burlington for spring break. Was gonna PM you about maybe stopping by to say hello, but, as usual with family road trips, we ran outta time
