Yeah. I believe that’s where my oil leak is coming g from. The front crank seal?
Omg. Best news I’ve had. Now to figure out how to unbolt it and not have everything spin.Nothing special to do it. Just unbolt the crank pulley (24mm socket) and the pulley will slide off. Then you can remove the old seal and tap a new one in. There is a special tool to install it but it isn’t useable with the engine in the car. I just use a small hammer to install.
Socket on breaker bar. Brace breaker bar on right side frame or floor, remove fuel pump fuse, bump starter.Omg. Best news I’ve had. Now to figure out how to unbolt it and not have everything spin.
So easy. Thank you.Socket on breaker bar. Brace breaker bar on right side frame or floor, remove fuel pump fuse, bump starter.
You can also make a tool that holds the pulley with steel or aluminum flat stock. The crank pulley has two threaded holes for the use of the LR tool.
Another good ideaI usually just hold the flywheel on one of the torque converter bolt heads.
I would also make sure there is no pressure in the fuel rail before doing that. Just in case.Socket on breaker bar. Brace breaker bar on right side frame or floor, remove fuel pump fuse, bump starter.
