Gear 4 Ratio Incorrect Code

Just need a little help and insight about a code. It seems like every several weeks or so the service engine light comes on and is read with the code gear 4 ratio incorrect. I took it by our local Land Rover independent garage and he says that I am the fourth person he has seen within the last 2 weeks with the same code failure. He said that the trucks were between the years 1999 to 2000. Mine is a 2000 and runs perfectly with only the light coming on. I am running 245/75 tires and was told once that this could create the code. However the local garage said that all the other vehicles had factory dimension tires and were also having that same code. Everybody has received mixed answers from the Land Rover dealerships - in between gears, etc. One had her vehicle repaired for this problem at no charge. I would like to know if anyone else is having this problem or this code fault. Thanks in advance for any help that anyone on this site could offer.

Clean the MAF with some sensitive electical cleaner. I had this same code and did a search here and found that sometimes a dirty or bad MAF will trigger it. After I cleaned mine the problem hasn't come back. Reset light and see if it works for you.
