Going to Vegas this Thursday-Sunday. Never been. Where to go and what to do while I'm there? Girlfriend is taking me so midget hookers and blow will be next time.

Any advice on you guys trips of some must do things?

Damn, I opened this thread just to suggest hookers and Blow...

Wynn has a car museum, NASCAR cafe at the Sahara (with acceleration ride), New York style Deli at Ny,Ny (under the rollercoaster). Also Prime Rib Dinner at Ceasar's Palace.

Not hell raising, but a trip to Hoover Dam is worth it. IMHO it's pretty impressive. You can go here and go full-auto. You might find someone you want to see (band, comediean, etc). Death Valley isn't much more than a 100 mile drive. Spectacular scenery and it isn't hot this time of year. Plenty to see in a rental car or SUV without getting into serious off-roading.

Red rock is cool day trip, Hoover dam tour is cool, going downtown and people watching is fun, going out to the air base is cool if you like military aircraft, lots of cool things to do besides gambling out here. Hell, even the Grand Canyon isn't that long of a trip out of town. .........And remember, hookers aren't really people, so if you kill one it's ok!

What company??? Every time I have tried to rent a vehicle like that, it's been mysteriously missing the 4x4 option - even a jeep!

im not sure its a good idea to rent a standard stock jeep and really wheel it hard. but you are pretty close to mojave road and can do that with a stock rental jeep 4x4 cause its a mild trail, however you are pretty far out so you'd need to take supplies and a plan if you got stuck.

you could also drive down to page and hike wire pass canyon, which is very pretty slot canyon.

oh and incase you are expecting warm weather I would not plan on it 50 deg days are pretty cold in that wind with low humidity , especially in the shadows of the tall buildings in town, or in the higher elevations out in the desert..

50 feels like 35

I've rented 4x4 durangos from enterprise; hertz and avis regularly have Wranglers around here. Even Enterprise gave me a 4x4 Cherokee when my Sebring was in for service. Hard to not rent a convertible or wrangler in Hawaii.
