H11 to H9 in a LR4?

Anyone consider this H11 to H9 bulb conversion? The actual mod is simple and quick. I saw a video where xenon headlights were swapped into a LR4 and the ecu cut power to the headlights because of higher current draw. A change to the ccf noting the xenon headlights install fixed that issue. The H11 amp draw is about 4.5 where the H9 is about 5.4 amps. Is the stock wire gauge sufficient? How about using a load relay to feed 12v straight to the bulb?

Apologies for a derail, my brain for a microsecond misread it as a "M11 to M9," and wanted to ask - what's wrong with M11?
Never mind.

I answered my own question. I purchased two H9 bulbs. Following a couple of videos I modified the bulb plastic plug body and die grinder the top center locking tab. This allows the 65w H9 to fit in the 55w H11 headlight mount. I turned on the lights expecting the ECU to sense the additional amp draw (about .8amps) and pull power the the headlight. Nope. It works fine. I'm pretty confident the wiring is up to this additional load and the higher bulb temperature should not be a problem. I'll know more after a week or so of driving if any issues crop up.

I ran H9 bulbs in my H11 housing for the first few years I had my LR4. They work well, but the bulbs burn out about every 6 months.

After that, I sourced some used xenon housings and swapped out my entire headlight assemblies.

More recently, I've swapped those out with some new euro-code xenon assemblies.
