Anybody fitted a Hannibal rack and ladder to a LR3? The Hannibal sites don't have a lot of detail pictures, and as they are not an inexpensive investment, I'd like to know/see more!
Hannibal Safari shows a ladder in the accessory section, but in the slightly out of focus picture, its shiny, not black and looking a lot like one that would be installed on a 110/90.

Also curious about overall height when installed on the LR3. Again , can't see details of the mounting feet.

Thanks!

No experience, but have you considered Front Runner? They're racks are extremely similar and there is a lot of information to be found on their website. I have even heard that some Hannibal accessories are compatible. The only guys I know with Hannibal experience are "nwoods" & "ksuttle"(may not be a DWEB member).

I had the very first LR3 Hannibal rack imported in the USA. At that time, the mounting hardware was literally outdoor gate hardware. It was good quality stainless steel hardware, but cumbersome to say the least to fit it to the rack. I no longer have my detailed install photos online, but the fix was easy. I used Thule load bars and pylon mounts and clamped the Hannibal rack to the load bars. This allowed the rack to be very easily removable, yet lockable when installed.

So it's been a few years now, and I have no idea if they've changed their provided hardware. I had some interaction with Hannibal SA back then, and they seemed receptive to my comments (I think I actually had their prototype unit), so I would not be surprised if they've significantly upgraded the provided set up.

Overall, I really liked the rack. Large carrying capacity, very light weight, and very flexible in how it can be loaded. The slot track system is really handy. FrontRunner accessories fit right into it too. The side rails were detachable so you could fit an RTT if you wanted to as well.

Here are a few photos of my rack in use, but no detail photos anymore, sorry:

Maybe the first tiny rack ;) I had my large Hannibal on the lr3 before that. I didn't want such a tiny rack space and also wanted to allow the cool awnings to mount over the side and rear. Mine is technically a Discovery 2 rack.

I also use mounts like you, three bars though with 6 mount points, similarly able to lift off as one unit.

This first shot shows where the bridging ladders easily fit, sitting on the factory slots, just above the glass roof, protecting it actually from random shit.

This rack is large enough for roof tent, 1650 Pelican, and 2 jerry cans with room to step between things.

yeah, I think it's about ~90" long, you can see it's about 55" or so wide by how wide it is past the green waffle boards which are right at 48". It's wider than the ARB Version 3 roof tent by about 5" or so.
