hard plastic fuel line connections

I'm up to the fuel system on my 2.5na diesel build. All the parts came disconnected, so I'm working it out on the fly. I have 8mm hard plastic fuel line and union nut plq637. Are there olives between the fitting and the fuel pump/filter? Seems the nut is flared on the bottom, but not the direction you would think for an olive.
Also, what's the best way to form the lines? I've heard of hot water or a heat gun in conjunction with a tubing bender. I think I could do it with a piece of pipe that fits within the plastic pipe since it's just the ends that need forming.

I got the first part figured out. one style just needs the ferrule in the end of the line to fit (plq637), the other style requires a ferrule and olive.

Look at Swage-Lok fittings they have metric sizes.
