I'm planning on installing an ARB bumper on my 2013 LR4. I'm also planning on running synthetic line with an aluminum Hawse fairlead. I've seen references to the recessed fairlead mount on the ARB bumpers causing a potential problem where the fairlead doesn't sit proud of the actual steel bumper (and the winch line would rub on the steel bumper in a side pull). I understand that extreme angle sidepulls are inadvisable, but I want to make sure that my fairlead doesn't have this potential problem in the first place.

I had Custom Splice's synthetic line and double-thick radius Hawse fairlead on the $G bumper on my D2. I'd like to go with Custom Splice again for my LR4. They have a special ARB Hawse that looks like it's the correct solution.:

Does anyone have any experience with an ARB on a LR4 with synthetic line and a Hawse? I'd like to buy the fairlead now before I have the bumper because they are having a 20% off sale.

Factor 55 also has a nice offset Hawse with a fancy MIL-A-8625F TYPE III gun metal gray hard anodized finish but I'm not sure if the finish is worth another $29 (or another $47 after 20% off the Custom Splice product).

Here's the photo of the offset Hawse from Factor 55....happens to be on an ARB on a LR4

Yes, you're probably right. I wonder if a poly roller would be a good solution? I really prefer a Hawse over a roller but the ARB is obviously made for a roller.

Its been fine for non-straightline pulls.
Lucky8LLC carries them, and may end up doing a black-friday sale on them this year.
The finish is really nice.
