Is it not mandatory for all vehicles, to bring an ABC class fire extinguisher? I hate it... 35 years doing yearly recharge/change but never needed nor used it...
Regards
Not in the U.S. in general. However, many Western states require a proper fire extinguisher, a large shovel, and a minimum quantity of water, to enter some remote areas with high fire danger.

Definitely a benefit to the Element extinguisher I mentioned, no recharging/expiration etc.

The only time I ever used the extinguisher in my RRC was during the 2017 LR Nat’l Rally in Leadville CO. Heading back to camp and I saw a plume of black smoke not too far up the road from me. Apparently someone had just covered an area with gas or some thing trying to start a major fire.

So I just drove right into the field to it and grabbed my extinguisher out of the truck. It was basically out by the time the police and fire department got there. I picked the wrong day to wear flip-flops!

It is soooooo much easier than doing that in an earlier Classic.
That’s funny you say that. My first exposer to working on Rovers was in 89. I was working for Cadillac/ Range Rover dealer. I remember being so confused about Land Rover as a company. The Rover guys had a lot of work for 2 guys and Cadillac guys would help them. Heater cores was one of the things I could do by myself since they were so common. That job sucks. That’s why I never wanted to switch over back then. Because my only real Rover experience was doing those fucking heater cores

Ouch :)
I did it a couple of times on pre-95 Classics, and every time it was a full weekend of a job. On a 95 one could be in and out in a couple of hours.
I know I've forgotten more about those old trucks than I know. Doing all those old classic heater cores paid off cause I knew all kind of crazy stuff about classics. I showed some Rover techs how to pull the blower resister out of the vent in the cowel. Warranty time on that thing was like 4 hours or some shit. But if you take that right side vent out its right in front of you.
