Not sure. We asked for permission and I hear he wanted to fire us both. Moonlighting is a word he threw out there. If you could be fired for asking permission maybe I'm in the wrong arena

I'm guessing good techs are hard to find. He'd probably be more upset if he actually fired you. He probably wanted to scare you so you don't cut into his profits by doing brake jobs on the side. Since you are already talking about semi-retiring, you should just tell him to F off and that you'll do what you want on your own time. Unless you've got a contract that says you won't compete that is.

Ya he's an absent owner. I think my service manager stood between him and me. I'm basically a part time employee now. No benefits anymore and that includes vacation pay. But I still need a job and it's his sandbox.

What about a small apartment to rent? My brothers bitch wife has a 6 flat out there. It's gotta be worth more than a million

My last apartment was $5,200 a month with one parking spot ($220) and three bicycle spots ($20 each). Right now I am renting an apartment from a friend that owns it and he paid $1,000,000 for it. The apartment is 11' wide.

5200 a month in that neighborhood was robbery.
