That would be fun to drive around and confuse people. It's got the Star Trek dash, but not that neat blue color, unfortunately.

If California wasn't such a pain for registering grey market vehicles, I would really consider buying that. It looks to be in great shape, so I don't think the price is outrageous. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a NAS truck in similar condition for much less money. I'd also be willing to pay a premium for it being an oddity. Its a shame that it doesn't have the goofy blue/green interior that some of those trucks had.

That blue interior is the cat's ass. It's just plain outstanding.

If I were to go out and buy a D1 to actually keep, I'd want a two-door with that interior. I don't know if there were any left hand drive models, though, and I hate right hand drive on our roads. It just feels wrong to me.

Agreed. When we would come back from Japan to the US for vacation I’d find myself going in the exits and other weird stuff.

The funny thing is how natural it is when you're on roads designed for it, or simply in the middle of nowhere. Then you get back, and it's a pain in the ass.

It looks like the dash is built to be swapped around, though; like later models... Maybe Land Rover did export vehicles with that interior to LHD nations.

I'd certainly want that interior if I bought a D1. Might not be able to actually get it, but I'd want it.

After I finished my first tour in the UK back in '97, I brought back to California a UK spec RHD red 1967 Jaguar 420. I loved that car. I had many heads turning as I drove around LA from Antelope Valley (Edwards AFB). The hardest part driving a RHD car in the US is getting behind a large truck or semi and can't see around them from the rear.
I am also used to driving LHD Myrtle here in the UK.
