I ordered some Rivets From Rimmer Brothers a couple days ago. How long have you guys waited for small parts from there? I'm just trying to plan this job out and don't know if I should expect them in a week? Or longr than that. For what it's worth, the rivets that hold a P38 window regulator on the door have been discontinued. People are selling them on ebay for 10 and 11 bucks a piece. It's a steel rivet that holds tight like a bitch. So am I going to end up matching something up? or do you think I'll get them pretty quick?

My experience to Oklahoma is 3-5 days. I always pick the next level on there shipping speed. Doesn't cost a whole lot more.

Looks like a standard rivet you could find at a Fastenal or other hardware store.
I agree. I’ve been looking at rivets. But I can’t seem to find a good description. Like diameter and length. It would be good to have one I could measure. I had enough to do the job but I had to take the regulator back off the door.

One person told me the part # could be size info. Like the 612 is length and the 157 is diameter. If that’s the case it’s an oddball size and doesn’t match up to anything I’ve found. Rimmer Brothers was reasonable. 20 of them cost me $20 with shipping.
The JLR Classic parts website had a link to be notified when they become available. Maybe they find another vendor and bring them back. But that’s not what usually happens with this car company.

I don’t know about Rimmers currently but the past couple shipments from LRDirect have taken several days longer than my typical experience. Supposedly, everything was in stock. So, that leads me to believe shipping is slow.

Incredibly slow! A FedEx package literally took a month from Rovers North to me in PA. Usually a 2 day process. They actually sent another order out thinking the first one got lost.
