No dice on my rover. Either removed or worn off.

Yes, I see it is no longer there. Recently had a paint repair on my Audi. The paint guy went to PPG and they matched the paint. Might be an option for you.No dice on my rover. Either removed or worn off.
Yes, can be done yet really expensive. Like the wrap concept. Great idea!!!I think I would really have to hate a color to change it. To make it right you’re going to have to cut in a lot of stuff. Not worth it. Wrap it a different color. That’s cheap.
Show me a screenshot if you would. Mine did not show.It is contained within your VIN. If you use vindecoder it will tell you what color it is. At least it did for me.
I have heavily considered this due to the cost of a real paint job, and the fact that my truck gets used. I'm just not sure if the texture is something I'll be able to stand long term. In many ways it reminds me of those angry face Jeep Wranglers...Wow man you guys have a lot different idea of what constitutes cheap than I do.
>Full-size SUV: A Full-size SUV is likely to start at about $4,000.<
If I were going to consider wrapping a rig I'd strongly consider going this route. I did my tractor, blacked out the hood on the kid's 4runner, and a bumper for my Taco like this and have been very happy with the results. Less that 1k in cost and some time and elbow grease to do that Disco.
My Discovery 2 - Time Capsule Edition
Before purchasing my '03 Discovery in July, I sold my 2004 Jaguar XJR that I drove for 4 years. Since I already had experience with unreliable English vehicles, I figured what the hell, why not build an offroader. I've always loved the Discovery. I found one located in Parker, AZ (about 200...discoweb.org
Repairing back to stock would still be expensive... unless I go MAACO special and that would probably not match anyway.I think I would really have to hate a color to change it. To make it right you’re going to have to cut in a lot of stuff. Not worth it. Wrap it a different color. That’s cheap.
Send me the last 8 of the vin and I’ll tell you the colorShow me a screenshot if you would. Mine did not show.

Oh I agree completely. A wrap makes sense for a track car and that's about it. I was referring to the DIY raptor liner threadI think wrapped cars look good from a distance, for a while. There’s no way I would pay thousands for a wrap job. It’s more like tinting windows and detail shop type work.
Yet still less expensive than a proper color change. To help with cost leave the door jambs, etc. alone and just paint the door panels, hood, and roof. Cost will depend on what shop does it and what the goal is.Repairing back to stock would still be expensive... unless I go MAACO special and that would probably not match anyway.

I can tell from your post you didn't really look at the link I provided. Nor did you go out and research Raptor Liner or give it any real consideration. There is a ton of advice and info if you look. You can alter the surface by the gun you use, the psi you use, the distance you keep the gun from the surface, and if you reduce it. You can give it a paint like surface although most don't seem to like that.I have heavily considered this due to the cost of a real paint job, and the fact that my truck gets used.
