I bought what turned out to be a zombie motors converted D1...
First D1, but 3rd Rover for me. My first was an 83 SIII I really never should have sold. My second is an 04 D2 that just won't quit and has 270k+ on it now.
To the nightmare at hand. I bought it and the PS pump exploded. No big deal, ordered one from paddocks and a few weeks later it was good to go....then I realized that it had the old 200tdi HG failure between cylinder 4 and the firewall.
I've been working on that half an hour at a time for a few weeks now and probably have a few more weeks before it'll be going, mostly because I keep cleaning up shoddy jobs done during the conversion.
I've got to get some spray gasket remover tomorrow, this last little bit just won't budge.
