PT says he does not have time for Dweb anymore. He's too involved with American Land Rover Owner on Face Book. He posts on there constantly.

It's better than the Land Rover owners group that I started back in the stone age of Facebook. I posted a harmless picture that had my SBR in it and the entire United Kingdom thought I was the worst thing since (insert your favorite analogy).

we should inundate that thing with stupidity that only we could invent. I don't have a facebook account but my wife lets me go on with hers. Maybe I'll get my own account and go ask pt for a little help with an intermittent no start when the moon is full and the tide is going out and I park facing south but walk north. Thats the only time it wont start

12 years is not that old these days. The average age of cars on the road right now is 11.5 years. So that means almost 50% of cars on the road right now are older than 12 years. Seems pretty relevant to me.

There are lots of reasons this BB is hard to keep relevant. I don't think the age of the trucks is one of them.

I daily drive one of my 2 RRC's.
The Hunter is 24 years old and the LWB is 22 years old. :D

Should have seen him yesterday. Guy was having the flashing M/S lights on his D2. 99% of the time it's a battery voltage problem as we all know. PT had the guy checking checking everything under the hood, starting the truck, rev'ing it to 1500 rpm's, shutting the truck off, standing on one foot and confusing the shit out of everyone. In the end the guy had a dead battery which was evident in his very first post as he claimed to have 10.3 volts. He figured this out by taking the truck to Auto Zone for a battery test which, of course, was against PT recommendations. I guess PT wanted to sell him an XYZ switch, first.

I searched the american land rover owners group for pt schram and also paul schram. Came up with nothing.

none of your fucking business
That's all it comes down to, really. Be a little better to the new guys, especially on the Tech Forums. If you want to haze the new guys because that's the DWeb way, fine, but be useful when you're doing it. Don't be a useless turd.

This reminds me of the time that we found a guy out in the depths of Uwharrie with a ripped brake line.

It was the usual crowd...Widener, Larry Phelps, Joel, hell I think Bang was even there.

Widener grabbed a pair of pliers and while crimping the line to get him off the trail, he was calling the kid all sorts of sailor words. This is a memory I hope to never forget.
