You guys would not believe some of the people that build these things. Working at a emission test lab you see a new one about every year.
Some guy would show driving his ford excursion and claim it was getting 50 mpg with his gas ionizer so you run a federal emission test on it, charge the guy a couple thousand, and tell him he reduced the fuel economy and increased the emissions. The guy would go on about how the instruments are wrong, insult you, and tell you that you were part of a goverment conspicery to cover up the truth.
Later you see the product on the market with his test results from a lab showing the vehicle with his device got 20% better fuel economy on the highway test than it did during a city drive cycle without it.

But like someone said allready theres one born every minute.

There is one thing I promise will work to get better mileage and reduce emissions. That is pull an intake rocker off the engine and run it as a seven cylinder. If you are not in a real hurry to get any where you could even do it to two cylinders and get even better fuel economy.
Think about it you are going to burn about 14.7 lbs of air to every pound of fuel. So if you move less air you use less fuel.
