Its only 10 kms from the German border - in an area that has alternated between belonging to the two countries over the past 100 years or more.

That's where they'll make the quintessential, old-school British off-roader... In France - but not far from Germany though! Purely from an image perspective - and for the British in general - that's gotta sting a bit, no? Check out post #3 in this thread. At least Land Rover picked a country with cheap labor to build the Defender... And Nitra, Slovakia, is only a stone's throw away from Austria, lol.

Longer than that. It’s passed back and forth through most of recorded history. Lots of people with names like Jean-Pierre Schmidt...

It’s a beautiful place, and the general region produces some of the finest rieslings and gewürztraminers in Europe. Worth a visit.

From NAS-ROW site:

We'll have the INEOS Automotive Grenadier 001 Prototype at our shop on Wednesday May 26th and wanted to find a way to invite some of the local 4x4 Groups to check it out.

I'd like to extend an invite to join us for a happy-hour timed cars-and-coffee on Wednesday, May 26th, at the Commonwealth Classics shop here in Marshall VA. Lost Whiskey Distillery will be on site with their converted Airstream Whiskey Bar and their BBQ setup to serve food + drink, and the Silver 001 vehicle seen in INEOS' media over the past year will be parked outside.

I posted this same message over on the Capital Land Cruiser Club site, and we've also extended an invite to the DC Jeepers.

Are the proportions off a bit? From that angle almost looks like a car from the Simpsons or something

I felt this way since the reveal, but I don’t think the front end is great. At that angle, it looks weird.

It’s fine in profile though.

I’m guessing they had to increase the hood angle, and push out the the area where the Cibie lights are, to fit the engine.
