The exterior was described as 90% complete, and close to what the final version will be. The interior wasn’t shown, and it seemed like they had just put something together to make a drivable show model.

Build quality looked good.

I had no idea they were building a SFA one too. Apparently for govts and such. I’d be more interested in the IFS one tbh.

I don't think they're making one with independent suspension. It's all solid axles.

They updated the website with these images

Parking sensors?

I don't love the front end.

I'm not swept away by any of the pictures I've seen of the vehicle. That's a lot due to the fact I'm not a big fan of 4 door SUV'S that are purchased with the intention off-roading. That said I'm sure the overall appearance would be greatly improved by the addition of the right aftermarket upgrades. I wonder if Ineos will follow Fords example and work with some of the aftermarket suppliers.

I like the way it looks from the front door, all the way back to the tailgate.

Visually, the side window between the C and D pillar is odd to me. It’s not the same size as the other windows. And that’s strange. But it’s a detail.

The front end is what gets me. It looks like they enlarged and lifted the hood, and extended the front end to accommodate the engine? It just looks weird to me. But only from some angles, and not others.

Which was the idea behind the Series 109s SW, Stage 1, Defenders, RRCs, Discos all of which pretty decent 4 door off-roaders.
Personal choice. Had to take the kids 4Runner hunting one weekend last season. Took it down an old logging road to retrieve a deer. I must say, for bone stock the rig handled it very well. That said I still felt like I was driving a tank. Where I've done my off-roading a short wheelbase vehicle offers a lot of advantages.

Agreed yet my D90 had basically a 93” wheelbase while the D1 is 100”. Yes the D90 was more nimble yet the D1 isn’t too far off with added useable interior space. The LWB Rangie at 108” definitely is more difficult to manage yet not too bad. Our joke at Moab was the rear hitch has “hit” in it and it was hit many times on Rosegarden hill.

The proportions on the Grenadier are odd. The headlight-foglight-grill band looks squashed (the black-out treatment doesn't help). The front wings on either side of the hood are too short (or the hood and windshield base are too high, take your pic), the hood is probably the oddest-shaped body panel to come around in a long while - looks like a portion of a nosecone from an ICBM, the taillights are straight-outta-Pep Boys, the rear cargo side windows are shorter than the 2 front side windows as Eliot pointed out....now I can't unsee it. It just all comes together to look somewhat unsettling.

It’s very symmetrical from the back, everything looks good, but then you walk around to the front ... and then nothing makes sense.

it might work, if the hood was an inch shorter, or the wings were extended, or the front didn’t bulge out.

In profile, the front end does look too small and pointy, compared to the back end.

it’s weird.

I’m going to disagree with these opinions about the front end looking off. It doesn’t look 1990s for a boxy solid axle vehicle. It looks 2020s for a boxy solid axle vehicle. I’d consider buying it.

The taillights are gawd awful, and I'm not sure how you fix that short of taking a saws-all to it. Like I've said, not a fan of 4 doors. The rest.... given how much you can change a rig by the shit you bolt onto it, I'd just have to wait and see. Would I buy one. IDK, if they fuck something up and have a recall in their first year or two can they recover? If I want a four-wheel yard ornament I'll just go buy an RV.
