LOL....the taillights are certainly no worse than the new Defender's haphazardly-placed markers all over the ass end. It's like some kid placing magnets on the fridge.

Yes, the taillights just are strange on the new Defender. As the design criteria is based on the original Defender having the round single lights might have looked better.

How does one inquire as to a test drive and potential purchase of this vehicle?

European release is scheduled for 2022, USA in 2023.

I don’t think we’ll be able to test drive them before 2022.

As I understand it, they all illuminate at the same time too. Design and tech prioritized over practicality and simplicity.

No diesels planned for the US according to this article.

That front bumper protrudes a good 10-12" from the body....it all still looks a bit odd.

They’re revealing the interior on the 7th.

The glimpse that you can see on social media reminds me of an aircraft cockpit, with mechanical switches.

Looks nice, I like it. Especially the manual, fabric seats. Steering wheel and e-brake color choice is odd.

I wish they’d show the panels & switches for a solid 10 seconds without having to do the artsy camera panning across the view. Annoying as fuck.

This gallery is much better. It shows the leather in black too. Which looks better.

If you roll through the gallery you can see a shot of the sunroof version. It looks like the cockpit of a helicopter.

Sweet Jesus yes.

I’d also remove the Grenadier logo from the overhead panel.

That instrument panel is very small. I’m skeptical of how that will work.

I assume the display screen will run the BMW software suite. That’s why they have the BMW gear selector and the rotary knob.

I hadn't even noticed the tiny instrument rectangle that you view through the steering wheel. I hope they don't have critical data over on the stupid ipad screen like everyone seems to be doing nowadays. I cringed at the BMW gear selector....

I assume that aperture is the instrument display. It makes sense. But it’s so small.

The gearshift is out of place. It just looks odd.

The BMW software is good. It’s very intuitive. But I wish Ineos didn’t go that route. I don’t want a screen. I want a radio with Bluetooth at most.

I'm ready to say "shut up and take my money".

My goal is to purchase something new-ish in the next 2 years. This pushes all the right buttons for me.
