I picked up a Streamlight ProTac HL3 a few weeks ago. We were going bow fishing for gar and I wanted something small and bright. 1,100 lumens is pussy shit these days, but it was plenty bright for gar fishing. Really, I'm not sure why you would want anything more than 1,100 lumens unless you were signaling commercial aircraft in for a landing. It's pretty damn bright and casts a beam of light further than you would expect. It will get rather hot with continuous use, though.
