The BRZ is neutral at its limit, transitioning slowly between gentle push and slide, meaning the driver can choose between stability or drift on a whim. Each component feels like it's working in harmony, especially the deceptively modest 200 hp and narrow summer tires. The magic here is that you can't be lazy and rely on power alone to exit a corner at a respectable velocity. The BRZ demands that you work the chassis to maintain momentum. In this sense, the BRZ is an excellent teacher of rear-drive dynamics. But at the same time, it's a car that never feels like it's stuck with a learner's permit. Drivers from all skill levels can enjoy the BRZ, as is evident by Pobst's stamp of approval: "An extremely enjoyable and satisfying driver's car."

BRZ leather.. FRS not

We needed something to offer great handling the northern az mountains offer much opportunity to flex the steering muscles, we own a M3, 911c4 and audi s4 for when we need power. I like our s4 v8 sueprior to the rex. Plus its pedal positions were too tall and long a throw for the wife who is 61" tall.

We love WRXs...but 23mpg?The 911 offers that and the audi will do 20 mpg, if I am not driving.

We needed something economical, and dare I say it, disposable. Its easier to kiss away a subaru than bury a 911 or s4, so its really a move towards preservation of my fuel dollars and other steeds in the stable.

Will sell when they offer a sti version, anpther 30-40 horsies and this thing would be really fun to toss around.

Torsen rear diff. yummy

The BRZ out handles the FRS, I dont have exact numbers but feels like there is more toe in and more neg camber to the brz. The FRS is nice, too, but I found the build quality on the subaru product to have better material feels= the toyota had more plastic and less softness inside. No leather is a deal breaker. Ever car I own is leather.

totally wowed by how well they roll off the factory floor with really suhweet handling, a-la wrx, and 370z its got the same front end suspension and links as a wrx
it offers 30mpg, and carves nicely at 115mph

I've driven miata's. they can be really fun and really nice, no doubt, but.. its a miata

They dont do for me what this does, its pure thrill at each corner. 50/50 weight balance, Lexus is350 six speed gear box, amazing front suspension off the WRX, and a 12.6:1 compression motor make for great braking power and manners usually only found in much higher end designs. The CG is truly amazing and you feel that when you slide the car thru 90 and 130 degree chicanes.

this is an all new car thats gonna become a legend if I didnt know any better

Meh... The Rex is still better.

I could not agree with you more, different purposed animals. the WRX's variable center lockable diff that you can lock from 30% to 100% in varying increments is mind bending to drive when pushed, you can really transform the car from behaved to just silly under power. I got to play on pavement but imagine this must be just phenomenal off road.

So is Subaru under Toyota now?
This was a joint effort between the two companies. Looking forward to TRD/STI models coming out although I've heard they will be n/a

You bought a Subaru for the leather. LOL. My WRX Limited had the world's shittiest car leather. It was practically thin as paper. Cloth is the only way to go in a Suby, in my opinion.
