the LC frames seem a little better, but everything I see around here is crusty AF in short order. I’d never buy a used local Toyota, my stepdad’s 13 FJ is pretty bad.
Your stepdad might want to look into that. Toyota will replace frames. Don't know the criteria but it might be worth looking into if it's really bad.

it’s not Tacoma bad, just Toyota bad. I don’t think the recall covered the Japan-built stuff… just tacomas tundras and sequoias. Anyway, it’s still serviceable.

I had a T100 that had a frame that rotted so it broke apart, but the truck still tracked straight at 70 mph.
