In my head light housing I found a long black cord with a small light bulb at the end. This is either someone?s home mod for lighting or the original fog lights that came on the Disco. Both of these bulbs have broken filaments. Also in the housing I found an unused plastic connecter. It is identical to the connection located at the back of my headlights. The factory fog lights are gone and the new lighting on my front bumper is not attached to a power source. Also the fog light button does not light up when depressed. The master cruise control switch does. Do I attach my bumper lights by cutting the connecter and tying into the power source that way or are the lights that have been tucked into the headlight housing the ones that use the preinstalled fog light switch? I have looked in old posts and online and can not find the answer. If the lose bulbs at the end of a long black tube are indeed the fog lights and not a home mod, what is the purpose of the unused connecter in the head light housing?

FIFY :victory:

I believe the connectors you have found are the "city" lights. They basically take the place of parking lamps.

Post a picture, it'll be much easier to diagnose.
Or turn your light stalk to parking lights. Get your meter and figure out which ones have power. Thos are your city lights, which means your other ones are the connectors for your fog lights.
