Don't know what y'all are talking about. anywho,

Removed the flange off an OEM ebay special half shaft this morning. So much easier... cv practically fell off, and flange took a few good whacks. I guess aftermarket shafts are simply not serviceable

Flange isn't in great shape but it'll have to do

Hoping to start the install late this week

Got the new diffs and axles installed last weekend. Pretty straightforward job, just time consuming. Puttered around town and nothing blew up. Tested the lockers, they work.

Side note, the quality of front axle seals is garbage. It seems the Corteco seals are no longer made, so all I could get were blue bags.

For tires I got a good deal on 315/75r16 KM3's for $1350... arriving today . I wanted to go with the Interco SSR 35x10.50, but they were $1,900 for 5.

Probably going to have to cut a fair chunk off the sliders (terrafirma's w/ nerf bar)

Are the Ashcroft front axles and CV's compatible with stock axles/CVs? Wondering if I should keep the stock ones as spares

front axle seals are just touchy to install whatever you use to install them has to just touch the outer ring if it presses against the inner seal it will cut it off

You won't need spares

Yeah, one of the adapters from the Harbor Freight Ball joint kit is a perfect fit for the seal. Sockets are no good.. too thick

Won't need spares? That's what I like to hear

When I drained the oil on the front diff, it was silver, almost like darkened aluminum anti-seize. Drain plug magnet was covered in the metallic goo. Good timing on lockers I think.

What do y'all think of this transfer case fluid? It's golden and glitters in light. Only about 500 miles on the oil. Drain plug was clean. I did a full rebuild on the case about a year ago. I'm thinking it's from the copper thrust washers? Since there's no preload or anything to set on the thrust washers, I don't think there's anything I could have done differently
