Lots if not most manufacturers do that now. Plastic pipe is cheap. The plastic coolant pipes scare the shit out of me!
True. But it is still a little unsettling, seeing a square-inch-ish in cross-section plastic pipe held down by 6-mm screws attached to tabs in plastic.Lots if not most manufacturers do that now. Plastic pipe is cheap.
It's only got to hold 15psi. It's the overheat that causes the problems.True. But it is still a little unsettling, seeing a square-inch-ish in cross-section plastic pipe held down by 6-mm screws attached to tabs in plastic.
The LR3/4s look so boss with the ARB bumpers. I think you can find it under $2k if you look around.. MLO or somewhere like 4wheelparts. They just get drop shipped anyway. Finally getting around to buying a front bumper for my LR4
Here are the options I have found:
Any others out there that I should consider?
I think I'll go Proud Rhino. The ARB is kind of blah and they recently went up in price. The Tactical 4X4 looks a little too locomotive cow pusher for my tastes.

When you did the coolant manifolds/crossover pipes and water pump... was anything leaking or was it all preventative maintenance? For anyone that's interested....here are my maintenance and repair items over 1 year and 13,000 miles of ownership and of my 2013 LR4.

It was leaking…..hence the coolant purchase at LR Scottsdale a few days before! I knew damn well it would have to be done in the first year of ownership given the age and mileage of the truck. When you did the coolant manifolds/crossover pipes and water pump... was anything leaking or was it all preventative maintenance?
LOLI would take this truck to the junkyard before I took it to the dealership.
This is on my list:I should knock on wood, but the only failure on mine since I got it last October has been the tailgate actuator. I replaced it and the cable for $105 from AutohausAZ.
Very cool, thanks for sharing. I can’t believe there isn’t a latch back there straight from the factory. First time I slept back there I woke up to piss at about 3:00 AM and of course there’s no way out. So I go to open the rear passenger door and I can’t because the child locks are engaged on both doors. Just about pissed myself trying to get out the front passenger door. This is on my list:
