Thoughts on this one?

It has had new tires added since the pics. It appears clean. One flag: I smelled coolant but didn't have time to start removing the underhood plastic for a more thorough inspection.

My opinion, useless but it's the Internet so here it is:

Don't get a car with a beige interior.

Don't get a 2005 LR3. Get a year or two newer. (Note: I had a 2005 LR3.)

Don't get an LR3 without the navigation. You may not use the nav system, but it comes with other stuff that was worth it for me.

Get an LR3 with the HD package so you get the rear locker.

Price looks good. The smell of antifreeze could be from a leaky tstat housing. Thats pretty common. Check lca bushings, windshield cowl and if possible see if the compressor has been replaced.

I'm digging the third-row seats. It also has the Cold Climate package.

The LCA's have been replaced; it's quiet as a mouse when going over speed bumps.

I ain't skeered of a beige interior. Every Rover I've had was that way. I've heard horror stories about the '05's but I've also heard not to be scared of them. The HD would be nice, but it's not make-or-break for me.

Think I'd only ever drive a vehicle with beige interior. Cannot stand black interiors.

Looks like a decent rig. I've always been partial to that color. Get to the bottom of that coolant leak before you pull the trigger

I disagree with pretty much all of that. The HD package is nice because you get a full size spare.

The most important thing is that you get a pre-purchase inspection by a Land Rover dealership or Land Rover specialist.

The PPI is scheduled for Monday with Luke at The Shop.

Make sure you listen good to the diffs. Like decel thru about 40mph the pinion bearings will make a strange noise and a scrape type noise while cruising under light load at speeds under 25mph. Look at the trans connector for any leak( that wouldn't be a deal breaker, just something to work the price). Find that coolant smell, look around the t stat and the whole t stat housing that stretches under the intake manifold. And listen for any abnormal loud noise from the suspension compressor.

Is that lower door cladding in the car someplace? Those fall off all the time, but the new one wont match for a while till it gets shitted up like the rest of them. The pics look good, don't be scared.

He's since replaced that cladding.

I'm going to put it through its paces on the drive to the PPI. It's about 15 miles with a mix of highway and surface streets.
