Looking for counsel on a few fixes for my 92 Range Rover Classic

Gents,

My 92 RRC is the body shop for a proper paint job and the interior items are in order next. There are a few items that I am certain have been tackled by members here hence looking for some counsel as this project continues.

1. Sun Visors: I have the the OEM puffy ones and do believe they are pretty much done. My question is would a Discovery 1 or the Defender sun visor fit the 92 RRC or what other options I might have? The color or having it reupholstered is not a problem as I will be doing the headliner soon anyways. I do see the Disco I and Defender visors can still be sourced from the UK.

2. Heated Seats: The front heated seats have not been functional since I acquired the vehicle. I will be having all the seats reupholstered soon and would like to have a new heated seats kit installed. Has anyone here done this or has a recommendation on an aftermarket or LR kit that would work well for the RR Classic.

Many thanks in advance for your input.

From looking at my D1 visor and then the RRC, it doesn’t look like it would work easily.

On the seat heating element, I’d first try Will Tillery. Have to say though while both of mine work, the heat is pretty lame especially compared to my other vehicles. Not sure if worth the effort..

The visors I can't tell you for sure. The seat heaters I know. More than likely the heater element is open. Easy to check. When you get the truck back get your ohm meter out and find the connectors in rave. One or both of the heater grids will be open. Pretty sure you can get just the heater grids for that truck, won't need to buy the leather with grid attached. You will have to cut out the hog rings and then need a handful of hog rings and some hog ring pliers to put the cover back on the cushions.

If you are having the seats reupholstered then I would just go buy aftermarket seat heaters and install them then. I’ll bet that they work better than the Rover ones.

Rangerovers.net has several good write ups on this, for example:

There are threads for repairs and upgrades. If you're reupholstering, it's for sure the time to do it. So far on mine (P38) I'm plugging in a $20 heated seat cover.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been following Discoweb for a couple of months now (since acquiring my Disco) and decided it was time to join. I'm not new to Land Rovers, 25 years with my 2A, and about 2 1/2 years with my P38, so fairly new to "modern" LR's.
I've been finding Discoweb to be a wealth of information, as well as helpful members.

I've learned a lot about P38's over the last couple of years, but still have a lot to learn. One of the things I learned was not to be afraid of "newer" LR's, so I jumped on my Disco when it came up at a price I couldn't say no to.
