Given the things Cerberus has said about how they intend to operate Chrysler and deal with the unions, they might just be what it takes to get us Defenders in the US.

I was told over the weekend by a Ford dealership employee that they were informed Friday that Land Rover and Jag had been sold, but that not further announcements would be forthcoming until the new owner was ready to make the announcement. Take it with a grain of salt though as the guy who told me this wasn't the most credible.

Yup. It's a big conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai. One of its many divisions handles customer service calls for several US firms. According to a news article in Fortune magazine in August, it outsourced some of its call center work to a firm in Ohio.
