Has anyone had the carpet fibers disentegrate on them like this? It seems to be isolated to the long panels that run along the sides of the third row seating - Any idea if these panels can be easily replaced? Much appreciated.
Wow. What year and miles is on your LR3? I've never heard or seen that before. We've loaded and taken our 3 with all sorts of gear, kids, etc. BUT I do have the rear load space mat. Hmmm, maybe that's why.
Interesting - Mine is a 2008 with only 84k miles...I purchased it with 64k and it's been very well cared for. I haven't seen anything online about it but it seems like the carpet is defective on these two side panels. I just recently put a load-space mat on in but before that I had a wool blanket down to cover it. I do the same thing, with kids and strollers etc.. and when I went to vacuum the carpet the fibers just rubbed right off...
Hopefully I can find some new panels to replace them!

Looks to me like whoever just pushed a thing in and out every time with no care to lift it at all. Doesn't surprise me considering how some people do stuff. Should be easy to replace though once you find a tan interior doner.
Mine has basically been covered half the time 155k with the rover cargo mat which i cut along that separating edge to allow access to the stuff stored where the seats used to be mounted. You can get a ton of stuff into the area the 3rd row seats and feet would have been.
