I switched to coils a year or so now. I left the compressor, tank etc. in place. Has anyone pulled all that stuff out without computer issues?

I sold the diesel 110 and have a petrol 90 which is much quieter! If I could buy a comfortable car for under $30k that doesn't depreciate I probably would, but until I find one, I'll stick with a Defender.

Tacoma. It goes up in value when you drive it off the lot.

Does the compressor still work, at least a little? If so, and if it doesn't give you any troubles removing it, I wouldn't mind giving you a couple of dollars for it.

Just curious, why would you convert to coils?

After having two struts go within six months, and in both cases 20 plus miles off pavement I figured the switch to coils needed to happen. I went with AB's two inch lift and run 275/65/18. The ride is as good if not better than stock with a rod lift. I have not yet been in a situation where I have been hung up due to the lack of the air suspension.

Why do people buy those used if you could just buy a new one? I've always said there is no point to buying a used Toyota.

Personally I think the Tacoma has gotten to large after the end of the initial model, its no longer a small truck. Not to mention aesthetics have gone down hill too.

Me too. I want a NEW 1997 Tacoma with 3 pedals and 4 doors.

Amen. If April would let go of her 02 extended cab I'd get an 00-04 crew cab (again) just bc but there is no reason to change out her truck when we have coyote & the LR3 too.

I enjoyed my 5 speed Tacoma (97 regular cab 4x4) but don't mind the slush box honesty.

Then you must not have needed much clearance where you have been or like to go ?

I use the LLAMS interface to allow on the fly +/- as needed. Can drop it enough to put the top edge of ladder at 72" which allows garage access even with my Hannibal rack and awnings.

On the high end I can raise to to put the rear diff at 14", RS sliders and center break over at 16", fuel tank at 14", etc. This is with 32" tires but I'm planning for 33-34 depending on other fender liner mods to the upper edges so that when stuffed, the tires have more room.
