Sorry to hear that. I had a similar issue in my LR3. I was just driving it in the neighborhood and it just got up to temperature and I saw steam. Shut it down and popped the hood to see coolant everywhere.
The temp gauge never rose above normal.
After that I put a temp gauge on the dash. I don't trust the instrument panels temp gauge. Coming from a D2 this is a common modification. In the D2 normal temp gauge does not go to red until 250 degrees. I can't find in Rave what the LR3 needs to be for the needle so start moving upward.
