DAMIK! see what i mean. the cost of those tires and rack is probably more than what you paid for the whole thing. i can never find deals like those, and yet they seem to fall into some peoples laps on a regular basis. oh well. seems to me that tires/wheels and racks are usually not worth the added cost and hassle of shipping.

Link sent by a friend for a Safety Devices roof rack for a P38

Wading has been one of my concerns with the air intake directly below the headlight, the door seals work well which is just as well for the BECM  ( I now have a spare BECM and engine module just in case) The bonnet design makes a snorkel problematic, but I would be interested in well integrated and designed raised air intake to help the air intake in dusty desert conditions. (I have to use a shop vac on the air intake box after trips)

I am told there will be a proper snorkel made for the P38. I have seen one that went around the hood and looked like the LR3's.

Change the BECM settings to Australian market to help minimize risk of BECM / security settings immobilizing your truck in the middle of no where;)

Thank you for the heads up!

( I hate the smell of anti freeze from an aluminum block V8)

That is how P38s smell ;)

Project Update

I have been driving the P38 for the last week and just to say thank you the Rad overflow tab snapped off. It was probably for the best because that one had 150k on it and I would rather it fail at the MALL then in the woods.

I dont know why the tailgate is so much nicer to use then a door but it is.

NOW for the good news! Terrafirma has sent over the first set of their new bead lock rims for the D2 and the P38.

They also will have the Dakar rim available for the P38 and the D2

I hope to have a full commitment from a vender on the lift kits next week.

I dont know I have not put it on the lift yet. Why?
well with that much lift there had to be alot of vibration if the stock shaft was used so perhaps it has an aftermarket shaft (DC) to cure the vibrations.
then seeing as its a parts truck perhaps there will be a used shaft available cheaper than a new shaft?

WTH, is that a teapot on the tailgate? Or just a really big coffee mug?? ;)

Oh, and I hope TF comes up with some better looking wheels... :ack:

Project update:

I am proud to announce that Eddie Prescott of Terrafirma has agreed to provide full support for my lunacy. (I knew those pictures from his Bachelor party would come in handy).

These are the parts he has promised to provide:

- 3 inch lift kits

- Front and rear bumpers

- Rock sliders

- Front skid plate

- Tank guard

And let?s not forget?

Yes a snorkel!

The lift kit should ship next week. All we need now is a new shop girl for the install videos.
