Lucky8 trail kitchen

Pain and simply I am looking for help and Ideas on a kitchen set up.
My goal is to keep everything in a pelican case so it can ride on the outside of the truck.
I would like it to be simple because most of the time I set it up at night and it gets repacked after breakfast.
I am using a 1650 Pelican case and do not want to go much bigger then that. 28.57" X 17.52" X 10.62
As you can see from the pic below my current strategy of just letting everything find its own way is not working out.

Make compartments in three different sizes for the common sized cans, propane and misc items? I saw square wooden/aluminum boxes at the overland show, if you wanted to move away from the pelican.

Justin, I'm working on a similar situation for my truck camping needs. My starting point is an empty 1600. Part of the problem is that the case is almost too big, making it hard to find the salt shaker and extra fork amongst everything else. Another problem is that the jar of salsa rattles around and crushes the bag of chips/smushes the bananas. Having a few zippered storage bags (from Outdoor Research) helps keeps the utensils, condiments, and cleaning supplies organized. Also using small cardboard boxes to group cans, jars, and produce helps keep things from getting mashed. Kind of like the expensive padded dividers but simpler. You can tape these to the inside of the case or let them sit on a thin layer of Peli foam.

It's not a perfect solution, but it does have some merits. I like that I can keep everything in my food/kitchen case and know it's all there each time I need it.

I did use the cardboard box set up but it can not handle the bouncing of a 5 day trip. Maybe the dividers or some custom wood ones.

im a cheap fuck. i can't spend 2 grand on a pelican case and a snow peak kitchen. i bought a $13 heavy duty tupperware from home depot. holds 400 lbs and is stackable. I have smaller lockable tupperwares inside that hold all my cooking tools in one, condiments and flatware in another, and soft foods like bread and chips in another. the canned goods, stove, propane all fit outside those 3 smaller tupperwares.

Just like goose's pants. Really messy and theres no meat in there.

I actually prefer to have the food inside the truck. I pack it in a cooler and the utensils in a couple of plastic bins. I carry the skillets in a stolen milk crate.

Every thing in your pic can be heated up on the defroster. I don't see anything that needs cooked.
