Wow, that's beautiful area. You are literally in BFE as Egypt Ky is about 15 minutes from you. But what are you doing there? If you are looking to grow pot or study Appalchian Highlander in his native surroundings you picked a great spot, otherwise I question your choice. Unless you are rich and want to buy a lot of land for 800 bucks an acre. You can do that there pretty easily. Once you get settled in let me know and we will go wheeling in Harlan.
I've every intention of picking up a large piece of land some day. Most don't see the point, but I'd love to stand on my roof and see a mile of "FUCK YOU!" in every direction. I'll pick up about $10,000 worth of signs that say things such as:
"WARNING! Private Exotic Wildlife Preserve: Beware of Cobras, Vampire Bats, and Poison Frogs!"
"WARNING! Former Land Mine Testing Facility! Look Before You Step!"
Some of what's available out there is pretty great; with nice hills, forests, small lakes, and streams.
You certainly don't have to be rich to afford hundreds of acres of outstanding, either. People pay more for cardboard houses on .5 acres in yuppie neighborhoods.
I can go out there, build another warehouse, and park my ass.
Cheers,
Kennith
