I'm not the richest person in the world, especially around this time of the year. But I know there are people in far worse condition than I am. This is the season to show others we care. I'm more than happy to send in my donation.

A friend has put it up here and it's been tweeted all over the place. We'll see what, if anything, happens. Can't hurt anyway. You never know who will find it a worthy cause and donate. No pain no gain.

Had a good day today so I sent a C-note. Trevor, you are still an oozing petulant boil on the face of Discoweb, but I hope these people get a car.

I was just thinking....perhaps you might want to contact some local groups like the Lions Club, Kiwanis, etc.? They might have some kind of program to help people out.

petulant - moved to or showing sudden, impatient irritation
boil - A painful, circumscribed pus-filled inflammation of the skin and subcutaneous tissue usually caused by a local staphylococcal infection.

Well just got up and there is $1,370 in the account. There are donations from people in the UK so I don't know which forum they are off of. This is amazing! We sent all the login info to Nicholas' mother last night, but they have that high speed internet that comes through the phone line rather than cable TV and its's down so she has no idea how much is there. The last thing I told her was $400 so she is going to be blown away when she is able to get into the account.

In regards to contacting local organizations that can help, we already do that. There is the occasional bingo night and checks presented to the family here and there, but it barely covers copays and stuff that isn't covered by insurance. They have to go to a specialist in Georgia because the doctors at UVA have literally given up. They don't get any donations that can help with the travel or lodging. Hopefully with what we raise from this they can have depandable transportation and not have to sweat a repair bill or try and find an old car to fill the gap. This is truly amazing!

yes, if you want to mail a donantion I'll get their home address and PM it to you. I think I know it, but don't want to give you the wrong numbers. When my wife emails me back i'll send it.

Be sure to use the "gift" option so no charges happen on other end.

Did just that anyway, but wasn't aware there may be charges on the other end.
Maybe we can ad this to the original post so it is visible for everyone?
